UDLAP, Best Private University in Mexico: Best Universities 2021 Ranking
Cholula, Puebla; May 18, 2021.– For the sixth consecutive year, Universidad de las Américas Puebla is the best private university in Mexico according to the Best Universities 2021 ranking by El Universal newspaper.
The quality philosophy that characterizes UDLAP is reflected in these results, which certify our academic excellence. All Engineering and Business and Economics licenciaturas that were evaluated are among the best in private institutions. It is important to point out that the best licenciaturas in the country, considering private and public universities, are Actuarial Science, Financial Strategies and Public Accounting, Business Administration, and Marketing, with the latter in this position for the eighth consecutive year. The academic programs considered the best in private institutions are Biology, Law, Pedagogy, Clinical and Organizational Psychology, International Relations and Economics, as well as Robotics and Telecommunications Engineering, Computer and Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Thus, 17 programs are considered the best in the country in private universities.
Some of the evaluated indicators for this classification are accreditation of the study programs, excellent faculty with academic credentials, internationalization through foreign professors and student mobility programs, research, technological facilities, and graduate placement.
UDLAP stands out in indicators such as having 100% of licenciatura programs accredited at a national level. Regarding full-time professors, 99% have a graduate degree of which 23% are from foreign schools. On the other hand, students have the possibility of academic exchange programs in over 30 countries through one of the over 200 agreements that the university has. Also, 97% of alumni are hired or have started businesses in their first year after graduation.
